BIOX 1000 (THPS - Tetrakishydroxyphosphonium Sulphate) is an environmentally 
friendly product and when discharged it is biodegradable to THPO. It has very good 
environmental profile and is verified in studies conducted. BIOX 1000 is colorless to 
slightly yellow and it is a non-metallic pre-tannage agent. It can be mixed easily with 
water and diluted to requirements. 

Typical properties of  BIOX 1000 are as follow: 
active content is 75% minimum, colour is colorless to slightly yellowish, specific gravity 
at 25 deg C of between 1.38 - 1.42, viscosity of 30 - 36 cps and pH of 3 - 4.

BIOX 5000 ( Glutaraldehyde) is the alternative to the use of THPS. It has an active content 
of 50% minimum, colour is colorless to slightly yellowish, and pH of between 3 - 5. In addition 
there is also BIOX 5001 ( Glutaraldehyde GTW 45) which is used for the leather industry and 
has an active content of between 32 - 34%.
