Attempting to locate the stud/rivet or whatever other name they might go by, which is a decorative piece usually applied to the edges of motorcycle seats. The ones that I removed when reupholstering were quite rusted and need replaced but I cannot locate a supplier. Have tried all the motorcycle shops too with no luck. They can be chrome, nickel or aluminum too, I guess. These actually look like a big thumbtack. They have a smooth round 1/2 inch diameter button head and a 1/8 inch diameter shaft that is 9/16 inches long and split down the center. They are made to penetrate the finished outside leather surface and into a 1/8 inch predrilled hole in the motorcycle seat base. Then the split legs are folded over to lock it in. Urgent need. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Check J&P cycles. They carry packs of 10 chrome decorative spots for $1.99. I just added them to my sissy bar pad and they look great. All you do is push them in. They match the mustang studded seat wonderfully. Order # is 8400003
