I'm looking for advice on how to clean, or better yet, avoid a problem with staining occurring on kangaroo leather boots during manufacture.

It is happenning in the toe box area, and may be from either the toluene, or the solvent-based glue used to harden the toe box. The stains are best described as spotty, and always at the top edge of the toe box, just below the instep.

The kangaroo I use is from an Italian tannery (not sure which one), and the problem seems to be only happening to certain colors rust, red and burgundy mainly.

Any ideas would be very appreciated.
