Dear Marlene,

If you want to stitch leather but not thicken than 5/16" you should work on a flat bed walking feet sewing machine.
Different rebuilt models are available:
Adler 67 :$1100.00 US
Adler 167 (large bobbin): $1450.00 US
Singer 211 G 166 : $1000.00 US
Pfaff 545 (large bobbin): $1525.00 US
If you want to use big nylon thread and stitch 1/2" thick, you could use an Adler 105 like somebody else offered you. We have some rebuilt in stock for $1700.00 US
