This extract is hydrolysable tanning material of Vegetable origin with high in acidity and less salt. Reserve acidity gives mellowing effect and promotes the fixation of condensed type tannins. In blended with catechol tannins, this imparts light colour, fullness, plumpness and firmness to leather.

Application: It is more significant in making sole leather blending with mimosa extract. It is use in pit and drum processing in the manufacture of E.I. kips, buff calf and skins. It is also used for topping protect from oxidation and better fixation by blending with syntans, it is useful for retanning, particular shrunken grain upper leathers. It is also used in Boiler water treatment compounds and as a mud thinning agent in oil drilling.
