Wondering if anyone is familiar with the five foot tall green monster in my garage? On the side, it says, "Champion Shoe Mach'y Co., St. Louis, MO,USA. Wondering what it's worth, but also looking for an owner's manual. Thanks for any information or referrrals. Thank you!

hi, your machine is a shoe stitcher. although old, there are probably thousands of these sitting around, and some are still in use.realisticaly,thier value is somewhat low-somewhere between 50.00 for a poor one to 500.00 if the condition is very good+.

If it is a straight needle machine, It was made for the repairman to be able to resole shoes , but also do harness and saddle work! The problem was if you were a traditional shoeman you resole by sewing sole up. On this machine you sewed weltside up. If you wanted to repair harness you were limited to pretty much straight sewing as it only had about a 2 1/2 to 3" throat!(hard to turn work) Most old shoe shops still have an old Champion or Peerless in the back corner
