Dear Sir/Madam,

We supply leather compendiums to several retailers in Australia, and we
have been asked whether the use of the words "Genuine Leather" is
applicable to products which are actually made from bonded leather. Many
people here use these words when referring to things that are not top grain
leather, but I was wondering if there is an industry standard with regards
to the use of various terms.

We actually say on our product sales sheets that the products are made from
Bonded Leather, but inside the product is stamped "Genuine Leather". Is
there anywhere you can point us to where we can get definitions of terms
used in the leather industry?

Also, what is "Old English Leather"?

I would be grateful of any assistance you can give us.
