Have been working for one of the largest Leather Goods Manufacturing Company in Chennai, for the last 9 yrs. I had to leave for personal reasons. I was totally in Charge of the Procurement and Production of Leather for the company.
1) I can assort Wet Blue in Cow, Sheep, Goat and Buffalo.
2) Based on the different types of Finished Leather, I can decide what selection of wet blue would be suitable for a particular type of finished Leather.
3) Can inspect at different stages of crusting and recognize if something is going wrong and can control quality.
4) Have enough contacts in and around Madras to procure Wet Blue and produce Leather.
5) Have looked after production of Leather Goods for the first three years and know the basics. Have handled over 400 workers during this time
6) I am capable of running a Department / Organization independently right from the procurement of the leather, costing, production , profitability. etc . I can also look into the overall profitability of the Department/Organization .
7) Have traveled a number of times to HK, US, Philippines and Taiwan. Have interacted with buyers a number times and I am capable of Marketing also .
8) Know MS Word , Excel and Lotus and basic Internet.
9) I am fluent in English , Hindi I am looking for a suitable job that can make use my capabilities and contacts. I am not necessarily looking for job connected with Leather goods . I could also work in Leather Garment’s or Shoes and I am quick learner . I would like be based at Chennai but I don’t mind traveling . I can also re-locate to any other part of the world if the situation should require . K.Thomas Abraham
